We are an innovative company based in California, USA, with the objective of finding ecologically friendly solutions for the current environmental problems. Since our inception in 2005, through extensive research has been able to develop new ecologically friendly products and technologies.  Elimination of the heating process in the production of tomato paste, extracting water from the moisture in the air, and the development of a new FORMULA adhesive made of all organic and biodegradable material for better control and eventual elimination of dust storms with applications as small as constructions sites and limit-less on the larger scales, are only a few of what we’ve been able to accomplish.

EXISTING PROBLEMS 

INTRODUCTION

Dust Particles and Sand Storms are a major source of destruction in many cities around the world, family after family, city after cities becomes the victims of this natural enemy, in many cases the villages had to be evacuated and residence becomes homeless gypsies, in other cases it creates severe health problems and also causes severe property damage, houses are buried under sand, causes road closers, destruction of agriculture and interruption of daily life in major cities like Beijing and other Middle Eastern countries, which are known to everyone. 

Year after year the cost of repairs or replacement of damages caused by Sand Storms become a major burden on the governments and citizens in affected countries; loss of property, ancestors home land and leaving behind all life memories are not easy to forget either.

DUST STORM AND CLIMATE CHANGE

Research shows that dust storms are increasing in many parts of the world, including China and Africa’s Sahara desert. The latest estimates put global dust emissions at over 2,000-3,000 million tons each year. In parts of North Africa and  Middle East  of  Asia,  annual  dust  production  has  increased tenfold in the last 50 years. Dust storms transport large amounts of material for long distances and their increasing frequency could have serious consequences for the

environment, according to research done by the University of Oxford; the deposition of dust could affect climate change, disease transmission and air pollution. 

Drought, winds, increased grazing and deforestation are all contribute to dust production. One concern is that as dust deposits increase, levels of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere could change and directly affecting temperatures and rainfall. 

DUST STORM, A GLOBAL PROBLEM

Storms generated in arid parts of the world can deposit thousands of tons of airborne sand and dust on cities and over continents. It exposes populations to airborne diseases, poses hazards for aviation and highway traffic, and damages crops, according to the WMO.

Fine particles in sand and dust storms carry mineral aerosols that aggravate chronic cardiovascular and respiratory diseases in people and animals. Cardiovascular and respiratory problems associated with fine airborne particles have driven the Environmental Protection Agency to invoke stricter air quality standards in 2006.

“Storms from the Sahara Desert carry dust, pollutants and microorganisms across the Atlantic Ocean to Florida and into the Gulf of Mexico,” said William A. Sprigg, a research professor in UA’s Institute of Atmospheric Physics and head of the U.N. planning team.

Similar clouds of dust and ‘hitchhiking’ pollutants are picked up in storms that begin in Asian deserts and travel across the Pacific Ocean to Arizona and the western United States. Bacteria, viruses and industrial pollutants travel with fine desert dust on air currents for days.

ECONOMIC AND CULTURAL EFFECTS OF DUST STORM ON COUNTRIES

Soil erosion is a serious problem in arid and semi-arid regions, and has destructive social, economic and environmental effects and causes reducing people’s income, disrupting communications, affects people’s health and even causes their death and causes loss of livestock and agricultural products. Soil Erosion is a process during which the soil is separated from its original context and is carried somewhere else with assistance of transmitter agents like wind, water and etc. Sand storms have practically destroyed many farms, agricultural fields and the entire villages and have forced families to abandon their belongings and move to other cities. 

The economic results for these damages are over several Billions of dollars per year, China alone is suffering over 6 Billion dollar direct and indirect damage per year, during dust storm businesses are not able to function, flights are canceled, traffic and commuting will cease, schools will be closed and there are many reports of increased respiratory and heart diseases, breading problem, damage to the cars paints, cost of removal and cleanup of the dust, destruction of the villages on the path of the storm, destruction of the crops and death of animals are few of the consequences.

Current approaches: 

For the desert Sand Storms at government level: 

So far the only practical way for the countries to partially combat this crucial problem has been “Mulching”; which is use of petroleum by-products such as used oil or tar to stabilize the sand movement; also under other methods, from time to time chemicals, polymers and other none biodegradable products and other not environmental friendly materials or fibers has been used; consequently, in the long run these approaches are more harmful to the earth, environment and underground water than solving any problem; therefore damaging the earth’s Ozone layer as well as underground water and the soil itself.

For Mining and Construction sites: 

On smaller scale projects, especially in USA, in which government absolutely does not allow use of any used oil or tar; the contractors on construction sites are forced to spray water on the dirt on constant daily bases to subside the lifting of dust, this process is too costly and wastes lots of water and requires water tanker truck rental cost plus labor cost.   

The ICSI approach: 

Scientifically the best practical procedure is to combat the problem in the origin areas, right at the source of the problem, to decrease the soil sensitivity against Wind erosion.

ICSI, has been involved in numerous studies to develop a combination of new techniques to assist in preventing the sand / dust movement and at the same time reducing the wind speed as well as enriching the soil for future cultivation, several methods has been tested and as a result have developed a full program to solve all of the above problems.

According to this approach, by using all organic, biodegradable and environmental friendly “FORMULA”, the underground water will not be damaged; soil will be enriched for future cultivations, and movement of sand will be stopped.

As an enhancement part of this program, plantation of special native bushes and trees by utilizing the ICSI unique technology of “minimum irrigation requirement”, will help to reduce the speed of wind.

For this approach a new kind of biodegradable and environmental friendly “FORMULA” is developed to bond the sand together, since this product is consist of all organic and biodegradable materials, therefore it will have a dual effects. 

The 1st effect is to cure the main problem, which is stabilizing movement of the sand and the 2ndeffect is acting as a fertilizer, enriching the land, and therefore preparing the soil for future cultivation. 

This process of fertilization enables bushes, grass, or low maintenance greeneries adoptable to the region grow in the desert and convert it into an oasis, solving the running sand / sand storm.

In addition, ICSI has invented another approach to keep the plantation of trees with minimum irrigation maintenance process, which must be used along with the spraying the Formula.

As a result, wind storms will slide over the bonded sand but will not be able to shift the sand from one location to another, beside; the trees will help to reduce the speed of the wind as a wind breaker / barrier, and serving as a shelter for smaller bushes and greenery to grow in the desert.

Safety: 

The most important element of this FORMULA material is the safety and no harm to the human health, habitant and animals; by this material being made of 100% organic substances, it is safe to be consumed by human and animals.

Long Lasting:
